Education: Resources on Developing Countries

April 28, 2008

When you have time…..

You may want to check out these websites for information about developing countries.

Free the Children:  Children Helping Children through Education

http://www.freethechildren.com/index.php

Project Education Sudan:  Building Schools and Hope in Southern Sudan

http://projecteducationsudan.org/index.html

United Nations Millennium Development Goals

http://www.un.org/millenniumgoals/

Project Kenya

There are myriads of other websites describing the work of NGOs (non-government organizations) that are working with and supporting people in developing countries.  If you have a special interest or curiosity, you may want to research other areas.  We will help with research if you need us.

After watching the video, Project Kenya, I could not help but wonder what was meant by “dignified poverty.”  Does anyone have any comments or ideas?
