When you have time…..

You may want to check out these websites for information about developing countries.

Free the Children:  Children Helping Children through Education

http://www.freethechildren.com/index.php

Project Education Sudan:  Building Schools and Hope in Southern Sudan

http://projecteducationsudan.org/index.html

United Nations Millennium Development Goals

Project Kenya

There are myriads of other websites describing the work of NGOs (non-government organizations) that are working with and supporting people in developing countries.  If you have a special interest or curiosity, you may want to research other areas.  We will help with research if you need us.

After watching the video, Project Kenya, I could not help but wonder what was meant by “dignified poverty.”  Does anyone have any comments or ideas?

Our Mission

Our mission is to educate people on two fronts, both at home and in developing countries.  We strive to educate ourselves, fellow students, and community members about the plights of others around the world.  In addition we raise funds in order to support successful organizations that educate those who may be far away, but still deserve the right to learn.
